Energy Efficiency Measures through the Replacement of the Lighting System at COMELF SA

The project “Energy Efficiency Measures through the Replacement of the Lighting System at COMELF SA,” financed through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014–2020, SMIS 2014+ code 160703, was implemented by COMELF SA with a total value of 1,110,499.21 RON, of which 845,016.39 RON represents non-reimbursable financing, consisting of 126,752.46 RON eligible non-reimbursable funds from the national budget and 718,263.93 RON eligible non-reimbursable funds from the Cohesion Fund. The Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014–2020 is implemented nationally by the Ministry of Investments and European Projects as the Managing Authority and at the regional level by the Regional Infrastructure Directorate.

General Objective of the Project:

The general objective of the project was to increase the energy efficiency of COMELF SA by implementing energy efficiency measures and reducing specific energy consumption in buildings, such as replacing lighting fixtures, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, achieve annual primary energy savings, and lower the energy intensity of the company’s operations.

Implemented Project Results:

  1. Increased energy efficiency within COMELF SA through the implementation of energy efficiency measures and reduction of specific energy consumption in buildings, specifically: replacement of mercury vapor or metal halide lamps with LED lighting fixtures.
  2. Reduced electricity consumption as a result of project implementation.
  3. Reduced greenhouse gas emissions as a result of the investment project implementation.

Project Location: The project was implemented in Bistrița, Strada INDUSTRIEI, No. 4, Bistrița-Năsăud County.

Approved Implementation Period: 08.03.2023 – 31.12.2024
